Local connections allows to connect to the Intermediate Database using your company IP address. Therefore only this IPs has to be whitelisted on Iristrace firewall instead of the full pool of the Azure Synapse platform.
- Go Linked Services inside you Synapse Analytics admin panel
- Create a new Linked service
- Lookup for MariaDB
- After MariaDB is selected, complete connection parameters. It is very important to select “Integration Runtime LOCAL”. SSL mode must me “Required”
- Once all fields are completed, you’ll be able to perform a test connection. You’ll see a success message.
