In the ODBC architecture, an application such as Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel connects to the ODBC driver manager, which in turn uses a specific ODBC driver to connect to a data source (in this case the intermediate Iristrace database).
1. Data source configuration #
Previously download MariaDB ODBC Connector. In the official page you have a short follow-up on how to install the connector;
Open the ODBC Data Source application and apply the settings as shown in the following video. Once you have replaced the connection data you will see that when you click DNS test not working (is correct). To solve it, go forward three screens by pressing ‘next’ and check the box ‘Force TLS Use’.
